Ok so the Porker needed to go on a diet!

Before Spirit (AKA BGR 924 002) could consider racing she needed to go on a diet.

So who am I to argue with one of the greatest car designers of all time.

I got to work. First job on the list the body deadening. This is the worst job that you could have to do on a car. I estimate I removed 100kg of deadener , seam sealer and other gunk from the chassis.

The wheel well prior to deadener removal. It is 6mm thick in places.

After removal and with a coat of white to stop any corrosion.

 

The inside got the same treatment.

With a bit of paint.

By this stage the diet is well on the way.
